Big fish for the day went to Phillip and Ryan Perkins with their 4.72lber. Congratulations to Derrick and Carty for the win.
3/21/15 Falls Lake
First of all we would like to welcome our newest members to the club, Ike Niemitalo, Cody Growtowski, Derick Tussy and Carty Sealy.
Saturday at Falls turned out to be a tough day of fishing with only 6 fish being brought to the scales. Coming out on top was Carty Sealy and Derick Tussy with 3 fish and a total weight of 9.84 pounds, this weight included the big fish for the day at 7.06lbs, Falls has produced the big fish of the year for the past 2 years, so we will have to wait and see if Derick and Carty can hold on and make it three years in a row. Coming in second with one fish was Jeff Quint and Jeff Taylor with a total weight of 4.31lbs and rounding out the top three was Phillip and Ryan Perkins with one fish at 2.15lbs. Our next tournament will be on Badin lake 4/18/15. Congratulations go out to Derick and Carty for their win today.
Plan on being ready to start at 7:00, or safe light. Weigh in will be at 3:00. Anyone who needs to meet and follow us there, or wants to stop and have breakfast with us just shoot me an email and we'll get our time together,.......otherwise we will see you at the lake.
Anyone who would like to join but missed the meeting 2/7/15, please let us know before the first tournament on 2/21/15 (weather permitting).
Meeting was held and the 2015 schedule has been set. We will be having one more meeting on Feb. 7th at Capt. Toms Seafood in Thomasville at 5:00 for everyone to pay their yearly dues and the first tournaments entry fee. Club season will start on Feb. 21st.
11-1 & 11-3 2014 Badin.
This past weekends season ending tournament at Badin was tough, 2 days of fishing and only 5 fish were caught, three fish were weighed in on Saturday and only two on Sunday. Phillip and Ryan took home 1st place with a two day total weight of 8.63lbs, they also had big fish for Saturday with a 4.22lbr. Mark Butner brought in one fish at 2.27lbs on Sunday which was enough for 2nd place and big fish. Jeff Quint and Jeff Taylor had one fish on Saturday at 1.93lbs which held on f...or 3rd place. Wind, cold and rain made for some tough fishing conditions and it was shown in the weights brought to the scales.
The year end points have been tallied up and the winners for the year are Phillip and Ryan Perkins with 590pts, Mark Butner and Eddie West finished second with 575pts and Jeff Quint and Jeff Taylor came in third with 568pts. Mark Butner held on for the big fish win for the year with his 6.91lber caught back in March at Falls lake. Congratulations go out to Phillip and Ryan for their win on Badin and taking home the yearly champions payout, and to Mark Butner for taking home the big fish honors.
We will be scheduling our year end meeting at the end of November or first of December to payout the winnings and set up our schedule for next year. We also encourage any new members to attend this meeting to have a say in the schedule and meet everyone, we will post the details on this in the near future.
Bringing in 4 fish with a weight of 8.67lbs by Mark Butner and Eddie West was enough to take the top spot today at Tuckertown. Mark and Eddie also took home the big fish win with Marks 3.27lber, barely nudging out Mark Becks 3.12lbr. Phillip Perkins and his fill in partner for the day, Waylon Booth, brought in 3 fish for second place with a weight of 5.71lbs. Rounding out the top three was Jeff Taylor and his fill in partner, Mark Beck, with 2 fish with a weight of 4.75lbs. The weights were not what we were expecting for the day, but at least the rain and storms held out until just after weigh in, congratulations to Mark and Eddie on their win today.
