Anyone who would like to join but missed the meeting 2/7/15, please let us know before the first tournament on 2/21/15 (weather permitting).
Meeting was held and the 2015 schedule has been set. We will be having one more meeting on Feb. 7th at Capt. Toms Seafood in Thomasville at 5:00 for everyone to pay their yearly dues and the first tournaments entry fee. Club season will start on Feb. 21st.
11-1 & 11-3 2014 Badin.
This past weekends season ending tournament at Badin was tough, 2 days of fishing and only 5 fish were caught, three fish were weighed in on Saturday and only two on Sunday. Phillip and Ryan took home 1st place with a two day total weight of 8.63lbs, they also had big fish for Saturday with a 4.22lbr. Mark Butner brought in one fish at 2.27lbs on Sunday which was enough for 2nd place and big fish. Jeff Quint and Jeff Taylor had one fish on Saturday at 1.93lbs which held on f...or 3rd place. Wind, cold and rain made for some tough fishing conditions and it was shown in the weights brought to the scales.
The year end points have been tallied up and the winners for the year are Phillip and Ryan Perkins with 590pts, Mark Butner and Eddie West finished second with 575pts and Jeff Quint and Jeff Taylor came in third with 568pts. Mark Butner held on for the big fish win for the year with his 6.91lber caught back in March at Falls lake. Congratulations go out to Phillip and Ryan for their win on Badin and taking home the yearly champions payout, and to Mark Butner for taking home the big fish honors.
We will be scheduling our year end meeting at the end of November or first of December to payout the winnings and set up our schedule for next year. We also encourage any new members to attend this meeting to have a say in the schedule and meet everyone, we will post the details on this in the near future.
Bringing in 4 fish with a weight of 8.67lbs by Mark Butner and Eddie West was enough to take the top spot today at Tuckertown. Mark and Eddie also took home the big fish win with Marks 3.27lber, barely nudging out Mark Becks 3.12lbr. Phillip Perkins and his fill in partner for the day, Waylon Booth, brought in 3 fish for second place with a weight of 5.71lbs. Rounding out the top three was Jeff Taylor and his fill in partner, Mark Beck, with 2 fish with a weight of 4.75lbs. The weights were not what we were expecting for the day, but at least the rain and storms held out until just after weigh in, congratulations to Mark and Eddie on their win today.
Jeff Taylor and Jeff Quint Ryan Perkins and Phillip Perkins Jeff Conner and Jeff Boling
Phillip and Ryan Perkins again taking home the win on Tuckertown, continuing their perfect season, the only tournament they have not taken the top spot on was Falls 3/30/14 which they were not able to attend due to rescheduling due to the threat of severe weather. Bringing 5 fish to the scales weighing in at 14.41lbs, topped of with their largest fish of 5.58lbs which was also good enough for big fish for the day. Bringing 3 fish to the scales for 2nd place was Shawn Williams and Chris Eudy with a total weight of 6.37lbs, their biggest fish weighed in at 2.81lbs. Rounding out the top three was Mark Butner and Eddie West with 2 fish weighing in at 6.31lbs with a 4.89lbr being their largest. Congratulations to Phillip and Ryan for a great catch.
Buggs Island, 5/17 and 5/18/2014
Lake level rose from 300 to 308 from Friday to Sunday, a rise of 8 feet in 3 days made for some tough fishing conditions, Sunday being the toughest of the two day event. Saturday, Phillip and Ryan Perkins brought in the best weight with 5 fish weighing in at 10.32lbs, Jeff Quint and Jeff Taylor followed in second with 2 fish for a weight of 6.08lbs, they also had big fish for Saturday with a 4.12lber, Mark Butner and Eddie West had 3rd with 3 fish for 4.54lbs. Sunday Phillip and Ryan was able to hold on to the top spot with 3 fish weighing in at 4.44lbs for a total 1st place weight of 14.76lbs, Jeff and Jeff also held their 2nd place spot with 2 fish weighing in at 4.14lbs for a total of 10.22lbs and again brought the largest fish for Sunday in at 2.19lbs. Mark and Eddie zeroed out on Sunday but was still able to take 3rd place with their weight from Saturday, no other fish were weighed in Sunday. Congratulations go out to Phillip and Ryan for overcoming the tough conditions and bringing another one home.
Badin lake, 4/26/14
Another tough one for everyone, there were no limits brought to the scales and I think everyone was expecting Badin to be on........NOT. Once again, the "unbeatable" team of Phillip and Ryan Perkins managed to take home the top spot honors with 4 fish weighing in at 8.22lbs, and they also had big fish for the tournament with a 2.82lber. Second place went to the double J team of Jeff Quint and Jeff Taylor with their total weight of 7.16lbs, and rounding out the top three was Brian Vertefeuille and Billy Hazlett with their weight of 6.17lbs. It was reported that fish were being caught on Carolina Rigs, crankbaits and jerkbaits. Our next tournament will be the 2 day event on Buggs Island, May 17th and 18th.
Phillip and Ryan Perkins 8.22lbs Jeff Taylor and Jeff Quint 7.16lbs Brian Vertefeuille and Billy Hazlett 6.17lbs
Like to give a shout out to Mr. Weather man, calling for strong to severe thunderstorms Saturday so we voted and changed the tournament to Sunday. Saturday, warm, no wind and only a couple of showers. Sunday cold with the 15-25mph sustained winds, and the 40+ mph gusts made it a miserable day on the water.
Now to the results from Falls lake 3/30/14, a few of the teams were not able to make it sin...ce it was changed to Sunday, so, taking home 1st place was Jeff Quint and Jeff Taylor with 3 fish weighing in at 6.99lbs, they also took home the big fish payout for their 2.70lber. Second place again went to Mark Butner and Eddie West with 2 fish worth 4.00lbs. Congratulations to Jeff & Jeff for their hard earned win and big fish.
We would also like to welcome 2 new members to the club, Brian Vertefeuille and Billy Hazlett who fished their first tournament with us at Falls Sunday. Our next tournament will be at Badin Lake 4/26/14, we are still needing more members, so if anyone may be interested, let us know.
We will be changing the tournament at Falls from Saturday to Sunday due to the threat of severe thunderstorms Saturday, 7:30 to 3:30. We will be at Carolina Diner in Archdale at 4:30 if anyone is coming that way and wants to stop in for breakfast
3-15-14 Falls Lake
Falls tournament was pretty much a duplicate of the February High Rock tournament with just a couple of more pounds being caught for 1st and 2nd place. Once again, Phillip and Ryan Perkins brought the heaviest weight to the scales to take home 1st place, weighing in a nice bag for 18.19lbs. Mark Butner and Eddie West finished 2nd again with one fish weighing in at 6.91lbs which also took big fish honors for the day, barely nudging out Phillip and Ryan's biggest fish of 6.65lbs. No fish were weighed in after 2nd place. Again, congratulation go out to Phillip and Ryan for their win. Our next tournament will again be held on Falls lake March 29, start time will be posted closer to the tournament date.

Feb. 22,2014- High Rock
Once again Phillip and Ryan Perkins takes the lead with the first tournament of 2014 bringing 5 nice fish to the scales for a total weight of 16.27lbs for the win. They also brought in the big fish for the day at 4.57lbs., great catch for Phillip and Ryan on what turned out to be a tough day for everyone else. Mark Butner and Eddie West took 2nd place with only 2 fish weighing in at of 4.27lbs. The remainder of the competitors all tied for 3rd place with no keepers being caught. It was a tough day for most of us but it was great to get started back and spending time on the water.
We would like to welcome our new members this year, Austin Sykes, Shane Teeter and Chris Eudy, it was nice meeting you guys and we look forward to the year ahead.
Our next tournament will be at Falls Lake on March 15, we will post the start time as we get closer to that date, see you all then.
